Year 4 at the Royal Opera House

On 14th December, in the lead up to Christmas, Year 4 were treated to a special matinee performance of The Nutcracker for schools at the Royal Opera House. They attended alongside Year 4 from St Helen’s. The staging was mesmerising and the children were so enthusiastic about the experience, many of whom experienced watching ballet live for the first time. Year 4 were also able to recognise the music of Tchaikovsky which they had previously discovered in their Classical Music unit of learning.
