Chess

A huge congratulations to the 10 children who took part in the London Chess Classic tournament on Tuesday 3rd December 2019 at the Cavendish Centre.

It was a rather enjoyable day, starting from 8:30am to 5pm, but the children showed great skills and determination.

All the pupils from Year 2 to Year 6 had to compete in five tough matches but the children did exceedingly well bringing home many medals from bronze to gold.

Kevin in Yr 4 was our top scorer who received a Gold Medal. Oscar Y4 and Jayden A Y6 received a silver medal.

Thanks to all the children's fantastic achievements, St Joachim's came second in the competition, for the fifth year running! Well done to one and all!
