KS2 Rosary Club May is the month of Mary Rosary Club
May is the month of Mary - May has long been established in the Catholic Church as the month of Mary. This is because Mary is the number one saint of heaven, born without sin, and carried the Son of God in her womb. As Mary is the mother of Jesus, and therefore our mother, we seek her prayers to help bring us closer to our Lord. Throughout May it is tradition to say the rosary, asking Mary to pray for us.
Over the last two weeks we have had a good number of children attend our KS2 Rosary club. This club traditionally takes place each May and October and is always very popular. Over the last two weeks we have had a really good representation of boys from both Year 5 and 6 as well as many other children. Rosary club is a good opportunity for children to think about offering their prayers as intentions of their choice and consider whom or what they would like to pray for. Rosary club takes place 2-3 times a week throughout May. As this is the last week of May, it would be great chance for those who have not yet joined us to come along just once.
