Metropolitan Police Workshops!
On the 18th and 19th March the Metropolitan Police visited St Joachim’s. The two police officers spoke to all the classes, individually, to give them fantastic advice on how to keep safe in the community. The children in Early Years learnt about the jobs of the police officers and how they help us in society. Year 1 and 2 learnt about personal safety including stranger danger and Year 3 learnt about Road Safety. Year 4 and 5 found out about E-safety, and Year 6 were taught about the dangers of peer pressure and gangs. All workshops were of a valuable experience to the children, which they will benefit from now and in their futures.
